brandculture does NY - Help us do it right!

My Danish company brandculture is planning a trip to NY this spring.

The purpose of the trip is to get inspiration and cases for our brand development work in Scandinavia (yes the girls here are very pretty, come and see:-).

I have been chosen to arrange the trip and I am compilling a list of stuff we want to do: Apple store, ESPN Zone, Abercombie & Fitch and so on... Flagship stores...

BUT! What I really wanted to do, is to get behind the scenes, see something truly unique, so I thought of my new SWOM friends and how you guys might be able to help us. What would you do if you came to NY on company time? Is there any of special places that are a little under the radar we should experience?

Also any of you guys working with brand development and/or training of brand ambassadors and other staff we would love to set up a meeting and exchange experiences

We are 4 people coming over on the trip.

Chelsea Market is a great place for food and to check out in general. It is also the location of our offices and across the street from Google Headquarters. Once there you can go to Chelsea Piers for Rock Climbing, Golf or whatever other sport you may be interested in. If I was you I'd stay far from Times Sq which is better from a distance. If you go to Abercrombie check out the Nike store around the corner on 57th where you can make your own pair of sneakers. I hear in April you can even make your own Jordans. Also don't forget the lower east side which is filled with great restaurants, bars/venues/clubs and history.
